Life Anchors

For those who have known me long enough, or better say, well, enough, would understand the capacity of love I have for my family and friends is ever-growing. Each day I wake up thanking the Lord for their presence and end the night loving each of them even more.
Many would have the impression of me being rather emotionless, careless, that is almost like I am cement-heartened.
It could be one of my flaws. Possesses stillness (or some may prefer cold-blooded and rude) when given offer of kindness. Never the kind who goes all jumpy-yelling but often a faint curve on the lips followed by a nod. As if I am taking kind deeds for granted. But He who knows, the degree of gratitude I have, even for the smallest deed in the world such as asking how has my day been, is beyond measurable.
I promised myself to rest every night with a smile. Blessed I am, I do every night. The trick to that? Replaying every scene from the day (delightful or unpleasant), reviewing every person I met (affable or nasty), reflecting my attitude and behavior of the day (righteous or conscience-stricken). Be it a smooth-sailed one or a stormy, rough day, there is always a reason to smile before drifting into the dreamland. Sunshine gives you a cause to be thankful while squalls ought to make you stronger and wiser.
I would like to challenge you, yes, you, search for a reason to smile tonight, for the stars glittering from above, for the spill of moonlight through that window pane, or the sound of soft breathes from your loved ones who are all muffled up.
Search, my dear, for the will to be joyful, for life.
Find that YOUth in you, even when you're 90.
So, tell me, how are you celebrating life?

Cheers to wonderful life!
